Beat koopa the quick faster
When your racing koopa the quick at the 1st level, make sure you have stepped on the red switch already to have wings. While your racing, get a pair of wings and jump into a cannon. Shoot to the top of the hill! (koopa will say your cheating and wont give you a star, but it's for fun)
Get Health Back
When you are losing health and there is water nearby, hop in the water (but don't go under it) and you will get your health back.
Note: You can't do that in freezing cold water.
Go Through Wall
Go to Lethal Lava Land,and go in the volcano.When you're in,go to the "Wall" that falls down.(you need a GameShark,and the code "Walk up Hills"on)Then jump on the "Wall" and stay still.You'll go through the "Wall"!To get out,pause,and exit the level.Sounds cool huh!
Get all the caps
Get the Wing Cap: Get 10 to 15 stars then go to the first floor. Go on the mat with the sun picture on it. If there is light step on the mat use the close-up turn the close-up until you disappear. You will reappear on a building. Groud Pound the red switch and either grab the new hat from the red block that has become solid get the hat and fly for the 8 red coins in the air or exit the level.
Note: all red blocks are now solid.
Get the Metal Cap: Go to the first level hop on the animal that you ride to the star, but don't ride her to the star, instead ride to the double-doors that look metal jump on the red platform in front of the doors then go into the doors. jump in the glistening pool. You will turn metal go across the platforms and bridges to the green switch, Ground Pound it and all the green blocks will turn solid Note: Don't fall in the water in the metal cap cave if you do you will fall down the waterfall outside the castle and you'll have to start over.
Note 2: When you're metal yu can walk through fire with out getting burnt.
Get the Invisible Cap: Go into he basement door that was locked go into there. Then go into the green-bricked halls, go right of the painting where you go into the volcano. Gointo the door that leads to water. Swim in the water, swim beneath the water you will see a passage swim down there to the other side. Ground Pound the two platforms above the water, you will hear a ding and then the water will go away you will see adoor go through it and you will end up outside walk around and you will see a hole. Jump into the hole. You will end up invsible on a slide. Slide down to the bootom of the slide. Go right missing the flames. Go up the teetering platform goup there walk carefully on the falling platforms, you will endup on a solid platform ahead of you is the blue switch that activates all the blue blocks, Ground Pound it, you will now have solid blue blocks. Note: if you fall off the course you won't lose a lfe but you will end up in water step up the stone stairs drop back into the hole. Try until you do it.
Now you have the Wing Cap, Metal Cap and the Invisible cap. These caps can help you in certain levels.
To get the flying cap
Go into the castle and go in the door with a blank star on it (to your left). collect the seven stars on that level. then go into the door that displays the star with the number 1 on it (to your right, Whomps' fortress). collect three stars. you should have a total of ten stars. go to the main entrance and on the middle of the floor there is a sun. stand on the sun and press up C and press and hold down so you are looking directly into the beam of light shining down from the roof. you will be taken to the flying cap bonus. fly down to the platform directly beneath you by holding up on the control pad. there will be a red switch with an exclamation mark on it. step on that switch and you will be able to use the flying cap.
Make Mario Invisible
This is nota code or a glitch, but it's true that by ding this you can make mario invisible for as long as you want. First, you have to be in the "Wing Mario Over The Rainbow" level. It's at the very top floor, and up on the wallto the right. Hop down into the level. You will start out on a thick cloud. Don't push any buttons for about 30 seconds. Mario will yawn and say he's tired, he'll lay down on his side, and the cloud is so thick that you can't see him!
Extra Life on Tiny Huge Island
At the very start of the level, turn around facing the oppostie way and over to the right. It looks like you will drop off the edge, but there's a little path, at the end of it is an extra life. This appears each time you re-enter the level.
Rainbow Ride Shortcut
On the platform Mario starts on, switch to Mario view and turn around. You will see a pole sticking up. Line up with the pole and long jump to it. Go up to the airship, red coins, and castle, go down for tricky triangles, and swinging in the breeze. The shortcut avoids the initial ride to the four spinning platforms.
Go up without stairs
In the Big Boo stage, you need to beat the first BIG BOO before you can get up, but if you do this way, you can go for the other stars without beating him. First go to the main room of the BIG BOO stage. Then do a triple jump to the left( make sure you jump left near the stairs part). You needed to jump where the floor for the second floor like a wall. When you touch the wall, press A so you bounce off the wall. While you stay in the air, tilt forward so you have a better chance of going to the top. Once you land, you can find more stars like the second BIG BOO and 8 red coins.
999 Lives
When you get 120 stars, go to the right of the castle, into the cannon, and blast onto the roof. You will meet Yoshi up there. He will give you 999 lives and a cool triple jump.
